CDTP

Community Development Through Polytechnic (CDTP).

The polytechnic was sanctioned with Community Development Through Polytechnic (CDTP) programme. The scheme is being sponsored by Ministry of Human Resource Development, New Delhi, Govt. of India.The polytechnic providing free training in various engineering and non-engineering fields for the needy persons, such as, school drop outs, widows, backward communities and minorities to acquire challenging skills thus becoming employed or self reliant by establishing their own firms.

Aims and Objectives of CDTP Scheme :

In view of developing needy persons of urban and rural area, the CDTP scheme helps to improve social standards in general and economical standards in particular with the following activities.

• Socio-economic and technical Survey and analysis of need of the people.
• To design and provide job oriented skill development training program.
• For the achievement of social and economical standards, providing support services.
• To disseminate the information leading to improvement of social as well as economical standards.
• To make the people aware of rural technologies and transfer of the same.
• Providing required technical facilities.

Areas of activities :

With a view to accomplish the above aims and objective the following areas of activities contemplated by the CDTP scheme are:
1. Basic cutting & tailoring.
2. Embroidery.
3. Domestic Electrical Appliances Repair.
4. Advance Tailoring.
5. Doll making.
6. Beautician.
7. Fabric painting.
8. House wiring.
9. DTP Computer Course.
10. Refrigeration & air conditioning repair.
11. Motor rewinding.
