Eligibility :
  • The candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • The candidate must have completed 05 years of academic study in Karnataka including qualifying examination.
  • A Pass in Karnataka SSLC or its equivalent examination with an aggregate marks of 35% (minimum total of 70 marks) in Mathematics and Science.
  • A Pass in 2 years ITI / PUC or its equivalent examination.
  • Candidates applying for admission to Automobile Engineering course should have attained the age of 16 years as on 1st July of admission year.
  • Non-Karnataka/CBSE/ICSE candidates must obtain the “Eligibility Certificate” issued by the Secretary, Board of Technical Education, Examination Board, Palace Road, Bangaluru-560001, before the admission.

  1. SSLC / 10th Standard / Equivalent Exam Marks Card.
  2. ITI / PUC / Equivalent Exam Marks Card.
  3. Transfer Certificate (any original 10+ / ITI / PUC).
  4. FIVE Years Study Certificate (from 1st std to 10th std, attested by BEO and 10th std Study Certificate is compulsory ).
  5. Character Certificate.
  6. Caste Certificate.
  7. Income Certificate.
  8. Medical Certificate / Physical Fitness Certificate.
  9. Rural Area Study Certificate.
  10. Kannada  Medium Study Certificate.
  11. Special Category Certificate(s).
  12. Parents Study Certificate / Parents Marks Card.
  13. Parents Home Town Certificate / Parents Residential Certificate.
  14. Affidavit ( Mother Tongue).
  15. Eligibility Certificate (in case of Non Karnataka/CBSE/ICSE Candidates) Issued by the Board of Technical Education, Palace Road, Bangalore-1.
  16. 371(J) Certificates.
  17. Others if any  ( Please Specify).
  18. Photo: Stamp Size-3, Passport Size-6 (in a cover mentioning name & course on its back side).

Filling Up Application and Registration Fee

Filling up of the downloaded application as per instructions given in the information brochure and remit the
prescribed registration fee amount (GM & others Rs. 100/-  ; SC/ST/Cat-I  Rs. 50/-) in any branch of STATE
BANK OF INDIA to the account mentioned below and obtain the counterfoil of the challan.

Submission of Application Form

Submission of filled application form along with one set of self attested photo copies of the relevant
documents and counterfoil of the bank challan in person at the nearest “Document Verification Centers
on or before the last date.

Start Online Submission

Verification of relevant original documents produced by the candidate, online uploading of candidates
application at “Document Verification Centers” and issue of printed copy of application submitted online
and acknowledgement.

Draft Merit List of Eligible Candidates

Notification of Draft merit list of eligible candidates in DTE website www.dte.kar.nic.in as well as by way of SMS to the
registered mobile number of the candidates.

Filing of Objections in case of Corrections

Filing of objections to the draft merit in case of corrections in the announced draft merit list.

Final Merit List of Eligible Candidates

Notification of final merit list of eligible candidates in DTE website www.dte.kar.nic.in as well as by way of SMS to the
registered mobile number of the candidates.

Online Interactive Councelling at Nodal Center

Online interactive councelling at Nodal Center (Refer Annxure-XIV) for seat selection for eligible candidates
as per schedule announced in DTE website from time to time. The candidate has to bring all relevant
original documents, printed copy of application submitted online, acknowledgement, 06 passport size
photos and prescribed fee for admission in cash for spot admission.

Issue of Admission Order

Upon selection of seat of candidate’s choice at Nodal Centers, payment of prescribed fee and issue of
Admission Order from nodal center.

Admission at Selected Polytechnic

Admission of candidate in Polytechnics on production of admission order by the candidate and verification of
original documents.

Get The Admission

Admission for management seats of Un-aided course will be provided on “First Come First Serve” basis.

All the Original Certificates and Documents are required at the time of Admission.

Seats are reserved for all the categories as per Board of Technical Education / Government Rules.
